[Vignette] A frosty exchange

===============================================
Cargo Bay, Grace O'Malley [Shadow]
===============================================
Morgaine has an almost unreadable expression on her face as she moves towards the exit ramp, heading out of the ship. She is dressed in her usual browncoat and scarf but there is more, she is wearing the rank insignia of a senior captain of the browncoats and her clothing look newly cleaned.

Saienne is standing in the newly emptied cargo bay, sweeping brush in hand. From the small mound of dust at her feet, it looks like she's been tidying up. The ramp down to Shadow is open, but Saienne has her back set to it. As Morgaine enters the hold and walks so as to leave the ship, Sai looks up from her work. "Evenin'," she says, evenly, as she takes in the other woman's freshly cleaned clothes and insignia. "Cold out there."

Morgaine answers softly, "colder inside" though it isn't exactly clear inside what she is refering to. "I need to be outside and there are things I have to do." Her eyes are almost haunted as she continues her walk.

Saienne does not turn to track Morgaine's progress. She remains bent over her broom, intent on scrutinising the hold's deck for dust, with her back resolutely to the planet outside. "I ain't stoppin' you," she says, although her voice is slightly muffled. "You got an icomm or somethin'? I'll put a call out for you if we're thinkin' on leavin'."

Morgaine shakes her head, "Last one broke and I didn't have the funds for a new one. Some of us aren't part of ship crews or have sources of income." She continues a few steps and then pauses right at the top of the ramp, "I doubt I will be going far, there isn't much left or many places to go."

"No," says Saienne, shortly. "There ain't." She tilts her head just the slighest amount towards the open bay doors. "Well, I'll come lookin' for you, then." A pause, and a bit of a frown creases the crowsfeet around her eyes. "Just you be careful, an' all. There's a little more activity down there than I was expectin'." She straightens fully, leaning against the brush, and finally turns to regard Shadow's cold darkness, Morgaine's figure framed by it. "Black market folks," she says, by way of explanation. Her frown deepens and she squints into the night. "They ain't friendly."

Morgaine pulls her coat to the side for the moment and her pistol gleams, "Let them give me a reason." The once captain is not in a friendly mood this day appearantly. She then steps out on the ramp, heading down.

Saienne watches placidly as Morgaine flashes her pistol. "Because one more corpse on Shadow ain't goin' to tip the balance in either direction, is that so?" She speaks in a very calm voice, her tone barely inflected at all. Bending back to her sweeping, she shakes her head a little sadly. The only sound now is the regular swishing of her broom and the sound of boots on the ramp.
